When newborn Harrison heard his name for the first time after six weeks of silence, he surprised his family with an incredible reaction. True joy. Hearing is something we take for granted, yet for some, it is an unachievable gift.

Baby Harrison was born deaf. His parents started looking for ways to aid their son. After a weeks-long search, they finally found a clinic that could assist them. The child spent a month and a half in sound isolation.
However, when a hearing aid was linked to him and his name was pronounced for the first time, he laughed out loud. The boy enjoyed the new sensations.
He is now over two years old. He has an active life and is both inquisitive and talkative.

“In all honesty, I was still probably in denial about his impairment… until this moment. The pure happiness that exploded from his tiny body was such an amazing experience.” Harrison started a programme with Telethon at 4-months-old and now at two, he can form sentences and speak like other children his age.
