The Intern star, who just narrated an ad for the current President, attended a Joe Biden campaign rally outside the court. De Niro used his position to urge people not to vote for Trump in the forthcoming presidential election, stating he intends to “destroy not only the city, but the country.”
“We’ve forgotten the lessons of history that showed us other clowns who weren’t taken seriously until they became vicious dictators,” De Niro told reporters outside the courthouse. “With Trump, we have a second opportunity, and nobody is laughing anymore. This is the moment to put an end to it by voting him out for good.” He continues, “I do not wish to scare you. No, wait, maybe I did mean to scare you. If [Trump] gets in, I can assure you, he will never leave.”
