A Shark Nearly Took Her Life — Now This 15-Year-Old Is Taking on Lady Gaga!

At just 15 years old, Brooklyn Sauer had already survived a terrifying experience that could have changed her life forever. In 2024, while swimming near Bundaberg, Queensland, Brooklyn was attacked by a shark, suffering around 40 puncture wounds and requiring an incredible 230 stitches after being airlifted to Brisbane.

But instead of allowing fear to define her, Brooklyn chose to keep moving forward. She returned to the water just six weeks after the attack and continued competing in surf lifesaving. Music also became an important part of her recovery and gave her the confidence to chase new dreams.

Then came an even bigger challenge: the stage of The Voice Australia 2026.

Brooklyn performed Lady Gaga’s emotional hit “Always Remember Us This Way,” delivering a performance that caught the attention of the coaches. Ronan Keating and Richard Marx both turned their chairs, setting up an intense battle to win her for their teams.
