How This Two-Year-Old Girl Shut Down Rude Cashier will amaze you

There are times when you experience bad service at the store or hear offensive comments. And when that happens, people usually freeze and don’t know what to say in reply. Meet Sophia Benner, a two-year-old who had a perfect response when faced with such a situation. And amazed by her daughter, Brandi Benner decided to post about it on Facebook, which went viral.

As Brandi explains, she and her daughter Sophia went to Target when this happened. Because Sophia successfully finished potty training, Brandi told her that she could pick anything from the store as a prize. Since she recently became obsessed with doctors, it wasn’t surprising for Brandi to see Sophia pick a doll dressed as a doctor.

However, when they approached the cash register, the cashier said the unimaginable. Sophia was asked if she was certain about her decision by the target cashier. “Are you sure this is the doll you’re looking for, honey?” “Please, yes!” However, the clerk appeared hesitant to continue checking out the products. Sophia and Brandi both looked at the cashier, perplexed.

Brandi couldn’t believe her ears when the cashier clarified what she was attempting to ask Sophia. “But she doesn’t resemble you.” We have plenty of other dolls that resemble you.” The salesperson had actually asked Sophia whether she wanted a doll that looked more like her. Before the outraged mother could respond to such an incredibly disrespectful and racial remark,

Sophia’s response effectively silenced her. “She does, indeed. She’s a doctor in the same way that I am. And she’s a gorgeous girl, just like me. See her lovely hair? And have you seen her stethoscope?” Brandi was so moved by her daughter’s response that she decided to post the story on Facebook.

“Proud doesn’t even begin to describe it,” Brandi wrote. And, unsurprisingly, Sophia has a lot of fans. Concerning the cashier’s handling of the issue, a Target official stated that the company “will use this situation as a teaching opportunity for the entire staff, so that everyone may feel welcomed, appreciated, and respected.” What a wonderful two-year-old!
