When a woman is not ready to become a mom and still went through an unwanted pregnancy, there’s a high chance that the experience may cause her emotional and psychological problems!
Frankie Aguilar, El Patron Restaurant’s owner, said that a woman carrying a newborn baby went inside his restaurant on a Wednesday afternoon. The woman looked troubled and she was asking the customers and staff for help as she’s just “found the newborn baby.
”A customer who’s trained in CPR, Alease Scott, offered to check the baby’s vitals and she saw that the baby’s umbilical cord was still attached, and they seemed like they had difficulty in breathing.
When everyone’s attention was drawn to the baby, the woman abruptly exited the restaurant, leaving the baby with Alease. The restaurant staff requested assistance from the police, who arrived with an oxygen tank and other medical equipment.
The baby cried, moved, opened and closed their eyes, and began sucking on their mask, indicating that they were hungry. Walter Cocca, Alease’s boyfriend, captured the incident on camera, and the restaurant’s security cameras assisted police in locating the 14-year-old girl.
Authorities detained the adolescent for a short time before transporting her to Jersey City Medical Center to check on her health. She was not charged, and her baby was placed for adoption.
The state reminded residents of its Safe Haven Law, which allows parents to leave their newborn babies in safe places such as hospitals, police stations, and fire stations while waiving parental rights over the child.
