Why this aboard of Philippine Airlines continued to feed the woman’s baby?

24-year-old Patricia Organo had been working aboard a Philippine Airlines flight late last month when a tiny newborn passenger started to wail. “Everything went smoothly until after takeoff, I heard an infant’s cry, a cry that will make you want to do anything to help,” says Organo.

“I approached the mother and inquired if everything was all right… She told me, teary-eyed, that she had run out of formula milk.” The baby was crying so loudly that other passengers turned to look at the passenger and her child, so Organo, a new mother herself, volunteered to assist in a way that only mothers can.

The mother accepted gratefully and followed the flight attendants back to the galley, where Organo fed the woman’s baby. “I could see the relief in her mother’s eyes,” Organo writes.

“I continued to feed the baby until she fell asleep, [then] I escorted her back to her seat, and just before I left, the mother sincerely thanked me.” Not only was Organo happy to help a stranger in need, but her compassionate gesture also helped get her a promotion with the airline.
