Only 1960s Girls Will Remember These 8 Things! If you remember write a coment below!

We’ve come a long way since the 1960s, and sometimes we can’t help but smile remembering all the nights we spent in curlers or recalling a certain scent. Getting ready isn’t always easier nowadays, but every now and then we get nostalgic for some of the rituals of our youth. Here are nine things that only women from the 1960s will remember.

1. Mystery Date Game. Who else remembers playing this game?

2. Sarah Coventry Jewelry. Who else remembers their fabulous designs? Costume jewelry took on a whole new meaning with its fanciful brooches and clip-on earrings. And they had earrings for pierced ears! Even if no one you knew sold this line of jewelry, you saw it all around. I can remember the strawberry and daisy patterns well.

3. We’re all wearing our cardigans backward. Back buttons were the way to go. With this trick, we thought we were the best! All of these things will be familiar to anyone who grew up in the 1960s. The styles were very unique to the decade, from the way we did our hair to the clothes we wore. And we were willing to experiment with our hair in order to get it just right.

4. Searching for the Biggest Hair Curlers. They were essential for getting the flip just right and very useful for cresting the big hair look. And we’d even use frozen juice cans if we had to!

5. Bonnet Hairdryers. The latest invention- is guaranteed to save time and add convenience. These bonnet dryers were like a wonder to us, not that every household could afford such a luxurious item.

6. Ratting Our Hair. Back-combing, ratting, teasing, whatever you called it it was murder on the hair. But, it made for some incredible bouffant hairdos. In the ’60s we tried out so many of the latest fads and fashions and we had a blast while doing so. While we can’t say we’d go back to these styles, we certainly have fond memories of the styles we grew up with.

7. Capes. This fad morphed into the poncho fad of the ’70s, but the capes we had in the ’60s were thick and very stylish at the time!

8. Shift Dresses. Most of them were as shapeless as could be and pretty dang short. While we wouldn’t call these flattering on everyone, as young ladies we loved this look. All the better if you had a matching headband.
