A pensioner from the United States, forced to stay at home because of the self-isolation regime, asked for beer and received 150 cans of drink as a gift from strangers. The 93-year-old resident of the US state of Pennsylvania Olive Veronesi has found an unusual way to replenish her stocks of beer without leaving home. She made a sign with the inscription “I need more beer!” and put it to the window of her house.
One of the old lady’s relatives took a picture of her and posted the frame online. Employees of one of the local TV channels noticed the photo and posted it on the official Facebook page of the channel. Since then, more than five million people have shared the frame, and Veronese began receiving numerous offers from strangers who were ready to buy and deliver beer for her!
The beverage company representatives decided to deliver several crates of beer to the elderly lady. A company representative delivered 150 cans of alcoholic beverage to the woman’s home. “It felt good to please someone during this difficult time.” “As a thank you for choosing our product, we gave this old lady ten cases of our beer,” he explained.
Voronesi was so pleased with the delivery that she decided not to put it off any longer and opened one of the cans right on the house’s porch. “I drink beer every night; it’s very tasty and high in vitamins.” “I believe it is even beneficial to the body in small amounts,” the woman admitted. She also claimed that the maker of her preferred beverage offered to deliver beer to her on a regular basis.
