Thanks to the efforts of doctors and the willpower of the expectant mother, it became possible to prolong the pregnancy for another 10 weeks.

At week 26, doctors discovered another issue: the blood supply to the umbilical cord was severely compromised. Ashley was told she would have a miscarriage in a day, but thankfully, this did not occur. The fetus weighed 464 grams at 29 weeks, though it developed slightly slower than before.

Ashley had an emergency Caesarean section on June 20 after specialists discovered she was devoid of amniotic fluid. Adali, the baby girl, was born prematurely, weighing only 411 grams. In addition to the baby’s lack of weight, no malformations were discovered.

Doctors described it as a true miracle when a child of this size is born completely healthy. Adali was in the perinatal center for several weeks. During this time, she gained more than two kilograms, grew stronger, and returned home to her adoring parents.
