Daycare teacher leaves a spiteful note in 5-year-old’s lunch box

Francesca Esdon is a loving and caring mom of a five-year-old boy named Kyler. She loves her boy to the moon and back and makes sure she reminds him of that every single day. One day, before she left him at the Rocking Horse Daycare Center in Texas, she placed a note inside his lunch box which asked from the staff to remind Kyer that his mom is thinking about him and that she loves him.

Kyler’s teacher decided to write a comment on the note after seeing it. But it wasn’t a pleasant one. On the contrary, the words she chose to write on Francesca’s note were, to say the least, disrespectful and hurtful. In response to Francesca’s message to her son, the teacher wrote: “No, put him on a diet and go away!” in thick black ink!

Francesca was stunned when she picked up Kyler from daycare and read the note. She couldn’t fathom how a teacher could make such a hurtful remark. The next day, she requested a meeting with the principal and explained how the teacher’s message had hurt her feelings. She also informed them of the teacher’s Facebook profile, which included references to drugs, alcohol, and other inappropriate content.

The teacher was eventually fired, but Francesca never received an apology. This mother told ABC7 News that she didn’t feel safe leaving her son at the daycare, so she decided to send him somewhere else. More on the story and Francesca’s reaction to the spiteful note can be found in the video below.
