A young mother is raising four children. Her oldest children were born in the hospital, while her youngest was born at home. Surprisingly, the young mother preferred home birth. She wanted to share her experience and described how her most recent birth occurred without medication, a hospital room, or “people in white coats.” I was pregnant with my fourth child, and everyone around me was curious about the due date!
Surprisingly, I replied, “Somewhere in the middle of July.” I didn’t know the exact answer, but I was certain of one thing: my child had to be born at home. As a result, the baby most likely listened to me and chose to be born on the 15th. He chose the perfect time: the birth began in the evening. A caring husband, brothers, and a young sister were all nearby. We also have a photographer on staff.
If the baby had decided to be born in the morning, he would not have found his father and younger brother because they were at the wedding at the time. If he had been born a day later, he would have only met his older brother after 2 weeks – my son left for camp on the 16th. My eldest sons came out to kick the ball when my contractions began. And, surprisingly, my daughter was carried away by a new cartoon and “did not harass me.”
Everything went smoothly, the birth went smoothly, and I held my third son in my arms. When his older brothers returned home, they were taken aback. My dearest dreams came true on this day. I gave birth at home, in the most comfortable setting possible. People I love and trust have looked after me. The photographer captured the first minutes of the baby’s life, and the photos turned out to be tender and sincere.
I wasn’t worried like I was in the maternity hospital, but I was calm and at ease. Although I preferred home birth, I will not encourage women to follow in my footsteps. After all, all mothers want the best for their children and make their own choices. Some women prefer to give birth in a hospital, while others require a cesarean section… There is no need to pass judgment on women based on their personal choices.
