The relationship that exists between a brother and a sister is one that is truly unique. They will always be there for one another, whether the other is happy or going through a difficult time. This courageous brother saves his sister from harm by doing the unthinkable in order to get her away from the danger.
On December 8, Chris and Nicole had their children in bed by 8:30 pm after putting them to bed earlier. Several hours later, Nicole awoke from her sleep because she smelled smoke and set her house on fire. To make matters even worse, her baby, Erin Davidson, who was 22 months old at the time, was locked in the room!
There was nothing left outside to climb on, so she had to access her room through the window. At that point, her younger brother Eli, who was then 7 years old, made the decision to become a superhero. Chris, the child’s father, chose Eli, who courageously went through the window, took her from the crib, held her close, and then emerged from the burning house where the smoke and fire were so thick. Chris picked Eli.
Before the firefighters arrived, the house had already descended into a living hell. Eli admitted that he was terrified, but that he did not want his sister to perish. It must be excruciating to watch the house that you and your loved ones built with so much care and effort go up in flames before your very eyes; however, we are all grateful to the heroic brother who pulled his younger sister from the flames and averted a major catastrophe.
The parents are very pleased with their son because he entertained his sister by pretending to be a superhero. Let us not forget that each of us has the potential to become a superhero in our own right. Having qualities such as kindness, gentleness, caring, and love; spreading joy and positivity; and having courage. Let each of us find our own unique way to fulfill the role of a superhero, just like the young boy in this tale did.
