Teaching your kid to be thoughtful is one of the most selfless things you can do for them, since caring for one another is what makes the world a better place. Parker Williams is a huge fan of school. Mrs. Chambers, his instructor, is his favorite part of it. “I believe she’s a great caring teacher, and she has her own method of teaching, and she spends time on everyone,” adds one child…

Parker was heartbroken to see on the news that teachers in America are basically underpaid, since he is well aware that Mrs. Chambers always goes above and beyond for her kids. His heart was torn because he felt Mrs. Chambers deserved so much more. Parker performed the most incredible thing ever in order to remedy things, and he won the hearts of thousands of people who heard about his nice gesture. He celebrated his 9th birthday and got a slew of gifts, including money!

When his parents inquired what he was going to do with his $15, he didn’t say anything, but he had a plan. Parker placed the money in a little bag, which he then placed atop a handwritten letter that read: “Dear Mrs. Chambers, I don’t believe instructors are adequately compensated for their efforts.” So you’re going to accept this gift.” Mrs. Chambers was obviously greatly moved by this gesture. Of course, she couldn’t take the money, but she appreciated the gesture much.

Instead, she returned Parker’s money with a message. “Teachers give it their all all the time.” We often bring work home with us. Our day does not come to an end when the bell sounds. “It’s really amazing that Parker understood how much more we do,” she later said. Parker’s parents couldn’t help but share Mrs. Chamber’s message when they saw it.

They expressed their pride in their kid for being thoughtful. Parker’s mother noted that they have always taught him to assist others as much as he can and that anytime he receives money for his birthday or Christmas, he always contributes 10% to charity. Isn’t it adorable?
