Before retiring for the night, people would secure their houses and goods. That is why, while everyone is sleeping, doors and windows are normally closed to prevent intruders from entering. A Thai family, on the other hand, can do little to resist the might of a beast considerably wiser and larger than the average burglar. An elephant once smashed down a property wall to grab something from the kitchen.

The enormous animal not only terrified the household members, but its activities also harmed the house’s construction. An adult elephant called Plai stormed into a resident’s home in Hua Hin, southern Thailand, approximately 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 27th, pulling down the kitchen wall. According to local media, the beast smashed down the wall for a mundane reason: a tasty package of rice…
Rachadawan Phungprasopporn and her husband were startled awake by a rumbling sound in the middle of the night and were astounded by what they discovered. Rachadawan was shocked to discover a hole in the kitchen wall and an elephant’s head emerging inside, while his inquisitive trunk devoured all the food. One item piqued the animal’s interest: it opened a rice package and ate it, much to the couple’s astonishment.

The elephant continued to look about and rummage in the cupboard. The lady claims that this is not the first time an elephant has approached her home, but it is the first time an elephant has entered her kitchen. “This elephant is well-known in the neighborhood for wreaking havoc. He came to our home approximately two months ago and looked about, but he didn’t destroy anything,” Rachadawan said.
Following this unique encounter, the couple learnt a thing or two about this strange creature and its talents. They also had to repair the substantial damage to their kitchen wall. “We consulted with local wildlife experts, and they advised us not to leave food in the kitchen since the fragrance draws elephants, so we did what they said.” “The wall will cost roughly US $1,515.00 (50,000 Thai baht) to repair,” the lady said.

Surely, the authorities would take action in this case, and they are now attempting to apprehend this mischievous elephant. We can only hope that he is treated with dignity and that he is transferred to a shelter where he may have a happy life without harming anybody and will never go hungry again.
