Brett and Kristy Dolenc purchased a modest farm for $18,000 and transformed it into their ideal home nineteen years ago. Their “farmette” has been transformed into a modern-day masterpiece complete with a pond and a lovely garden. In addition, the family looks after goats, chickens, and bunnies. However, the Dolenc family is expanding, and they recognized a few years ago that they needed extra room for their three teens.

Instead of enlarging Kicsi Casa, the family opted to purchase a modest house and use it to extend their home on the small farm. Because they are less costly to acquire and maintain, tiny homes are becoming more popular in the United States. Environmentally aware homeowners like them since they have a lesser environmental imprint. Tiny dwellings are also being created in various areas to aid the homeless. Many small homes are created by homeowners after seeing popular series like “Tiny House Hunters” or “Tiny House Nation.”

People interested in small houses may also purchase tiny-house-building kits or access the internet for information and other recommendations on designs and house layouts. In the instance of the Dolencs, they determined that an extra little home would be the best way to expand their small farm. They then worked with Simblissity Tiny Homes to create their tiny house. The overall cost of the little home was $67,000.

Brett and Kristy decided to create the little house so that their children could have privacy while yet being near to the family on their small farm. However, the small house may be turned into different functions in the future, such as a guest bedroom, an office, or even a mobile home for the children. Meanwhile, since the small house was intended to house their three adolescents,

the Dolencs allowed their daughters, Lucie and Marin, to make the final design selections and adapt their tiny home to their personalities. It took six months to finish the project, and the little house is now a welcome addition to their modest farm. It is easily accessible from the main home and has far surpassed the family’s expectations.
