We all know that raising a kid costs a lot of money, but a parent does not anticipate how costly having a child would be. Ben and Jackee Belnap are a lovely couple from Holladay, Utah, who have a gorgeous kid. Ben is a passionate football enthusiast, and the University of Utah is his favorite team in the league…
He had always wanted to acquire season tickets to see his favorite team play, but they don’t have the money for such frivolities. Ben’s parents witnessed his enthusiasm for watching the game and decided to lend him some money to make his wishes come true. Ben and Jackee then began saving money in a white envelope until they accumulated $1,060.
The pair planned to keep the white envelope until they met with Ben’s parents, but when the big day arrived, the white envelope was gone. When they couldn’t locate the envelope anywhere, Jackee had a “motherly intuition” and decided to inspect their shredder. The cash was really there, but it had been ripped into bits by their kid, Leo.
Ben took the shredded money to the Department of Treasury’s Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) on the advice of others, who believe that at least some of the shredded amount can be salvaged, but if the couple learned anything from this, it’s that they should be more careful with their money, especially around their curious little toddler, Leo. In the video below, you can see how naughty Leo trashed his parents’ money.
