When an elderly lady who hadn’t flown in 15 years traveled to see relatives and was nervous about flying, a nice stranger seated next to her offered her his arm to grasp, and she was calmed as they held hands throughout the journey. Megan Ashley was traveling from San Diego to Nashville when she overheard a discussion in the seat next to her between a 96-year-old lady and a young guy.

The elderly lady was traveling to see her family for her birthday, but she hadn’t flown in 15 years and was worried. “She wanted to travel to Kansas City to meet her family for her birthday, but she was afraid of flying.”

She told the young guy seated next to her that she hadn’t flown in a while and asked if she may grasp his hand if she was anxious. He eagerly consented and held hands with her to console her. “She requested this man’s hand before takeoff and then held him again amid turbulence.” This guy, I should say, happily held her hand, let her to hang onto him, soothed her by talking to her, and explained all that was going on, and was just that stranger there for her.

He understood exactly what to do the whole trip to assist.” When she wanted to use the toilet, he helped her rise, and after their trip, he kept her luggage for her, escorted her to her wheelchair, and waited with her until she reached her family. “He helped her rise up to use the toilet and gently followed her down the aisle.” As he soothed her, he made me grin the whole journey. This guy was her guardian angel.
