“And this tiny infant,” the reporter says as the video begins. On the screen, we can see a little girl clothed in a pink blouse and white jeans. Walking is still difficult for her, as it is for many other children her age. She has, however, acquired a unique skill set: CPR training! As the video progresses, we see the child administering chest compressions and monitoring the “victim’s” respiration.
As the video continues to play, the reporter starts to giggle. It’s not difficult to understand why. The “victim,” a CPR mannequin, is much larger than the tiny child! Nonetheless, the little girl’s size discrepancy does not seem to worry her, as she continues to do CPR passionately. “She’s adorable. “Oh my gosh,” says the reporter. The tiny child then glances up at the camera, causing the reporter to burst out laughing.
She laughs a little more while the baby girl continues CPR, then says they need to get moving so she can “stop her giggling.” The camera returns to the reporter, who is plainly giggling the whole time. “Thank you to our producer, Dale,” the reporter tries to utter between her laughing. As the video ends, she starts her outro, still giggling.
Some viewers complained that her form wasn’t quite right, while others pointed out that her “chest compressions” didn’t really compress. Nonetheless, we believe her effort was exceptional. She’s already mastered most of the fundamentals, so we’re certain that by the time she learns to work and grows a little larger, she’ll be well on her way to a medical profession!
