When a small child with a handler’s arm encountered a lady who looked just like him, it was a poignant and lovely occasion. When they met, the light was blazing down on them. They touched arms, and the toddler’s reactions ranged from astonishment to perplexity to genuine ecstasy. He took a minute to glance behind him, then straight forward.

The woman, dressed in a blue gown, smiled as she introduced herself to the small child. She understood what it was like to be different and wanted to console him. They had reached an accord. There were no words said, and the child was overjoyed to meet his new buddy. He then made little moves toward the attractive lady.

They had an intense and strong embrace as soon as the kid was in the woman’s arms. She understood what it meant to have friends who made you feel at ease and secure.
