Hannah Doss, an educator and artist, used to move in and out of residences all the time, especially while she was in college and working on her master’s degree. “Every time I moved, it was to a different state, and I didn’t know anybody there,” she said. So I was using Craigslist to locate roommates. I had some strange encounters with my Craigslist housemates, and I told myself, “You know what, I’m not doing this anymore.”
She also understood that a change was required since she was spending so much money on rent. Hannah pondered creating a small house, and with the assistance of her father, she was able to transform an antique train trailer into a distinctive and comforting tiny home. Her father was a railroad worker for 20 years and taught her about excess auctions. She confined herself to a $350 offer there…

It may seem to be a little sum, but it was enough to pay for an overlooked 1985 antique train trailer. Despite the fact that the old train trailer was just 232 square feet, Hanna believed it was precisely what she needed at the time. Hannah got right to work on making a house out of the historic train trailer, which she named Journey. The work was done in her parents’ backyard. Fortunately, her parents not only hosted the restoration process but were also eager to assist.
This helped to cut construction costs as well as the length of time required to finish the small house project. Hannah eventually paid roughly $9,000 for the full process. “I was aiming to spend $6,000, but I ended up paying $9,000 for the whole affair,” Hannah said. It ultimately cost me $9,000 to totally refurbish and equip it.” Fortunately, her parents and friends assisted her in transforming the historic train trailer into a lovely house. Getting expert assistance would have cost her an additional $10,000.

Although the travel was brief, Hannah and her dad worked tirelessly to ensure that the historic train trailer became a completely functioning home. The idea was to build the house so efficient that the size would become an afterthought. The little home on wheels is painted a cool very light blue with a lovely mountain artwork. It has a fully functional kitchen where Hannah and her boyfriend may make their meals. There is also a little working area with a beautiful view of the outside.

A sofa may simply be converted into a bed for the couple to sleep on at night. The bathroom is comparable to any bathroom in a typical house. The living room, on the other hand, is filled with musical instruments and vinyl records that show Hannah’s creative side. The ancient train trailer was transformed into such a fascinating residence, full of budget-saving measures and aesthetic design touches.

Hannah says that people often want to see the interior, and she is always pleased to show off Journey. Hannah, her partner, and their dog now live in the old historic train trailer. “I work for California State Parks and reside in park employee housing.”

“I live in a wonderful house a mile from Lake Tahoe’s shoreline, something I would never be able to afford if I had a regular job and had to pay for a site,” she continued. The three just like and appreciate their mobile home, and they have since been on several excursions with Journey. In the video below, you can have a look around Hannah’s house:
