We’re accustomed to the knowledge that females who win beauty pageants have had their looks altered. Fortunately, medicine does not stand still, and plastic surgeons and cosmetologists may add beauty invisibly, as if the female had always had such a nose or lips form!
Things were different in 1965. To win a beauty pageant, especially one like “Miss Universe,” you had to be naturally beautiful and charismatic. Apasra Khongsakula, 18, won that year with this combination of abilities. The girl was just one inch shorter than her opponents.
Despite this, the panel opted to award her the win since Apsara won them over with her humility and attractiveness. Apsara entered the competition by happenstance; as a first-year student, she was recognized at the institution and invited to participate in a beauty contest among students.
The lady is now 74 years old, yet you wouldn’t guess it from her appearance! Apsara’s secret elixir of youth is unknown, yet she has no wrinkles on her face, and even a 20-year-old girl will covet her body. Apsara has children and grandkids, and she is content to mix housework and business.
