More perplexing are the actions of mothers who abandon their children to fate and live for their own pleasure. Richard, an Englishman, couldn’t wait for the birth of his first child, a daughter, knowing what a joyous event it would be in his and his wife’s lives.

However, the anticipated joy quickly turned into a family drama. The young mother complained about fatigue and depression all the time and eventually left the family, citing a desire to be alone as the reason for her decision.
