Almost every parent believes that their child is the cutest in the world, and they aren’t afraid to tell the world. It’s difficult not to gush when your baby finally says their first word or does something clever and cute — and, honestly, pretty much everything they do when they’re little is clever or cute. Many parents long for the day when their baby will be able to communicate with them and tell them what they want or what’s wrong with them (such as why they won’t stop crying at 4:00 a.m.).
That day has arrived for Deztin “DJ” Pryor, and his son, Kingston, is only a year old! They’re already having some lengthy discussions. Even though we can’t understand what Kingston is saying, he appears to have a lot of strong opinions, which his father shares. Kingston and his father are sitting on the couch together in this video when Pryor strikes up a conversation. Shanieke, Kingston’s mother, videotaped the entire exchange.
Pryor is a comedian who you might have seen before. He showcased his comedic skills at the 2019 CBS Diversity Sketch Comedy Showcase, where he performed in front of talent agents, directors, and executives. He was one of the top 21 comic actors chosen from a pool of 3,000 applicants. His comedic timing is on full display in this video. He and Kingston appear to be having a real conversation, complete with hand gestures, shared opinions, and skepticism about what they’re watching, and their back-and-forth is quite entertaining to watch.
Pryor may be the family comedian, but Kingston appears to be following in his father’s footsteps! He completely steals the show, and it’s clear that Dad is extremely proud of his bright and expressive son. Kingston is eager to share his thoughts on what he’s watching with his father, and he appears to be a good listener as well. He notices every gesture and word his father makes and attempts to imitate them.
Even though Kingston’s babble isn’t yet understood, we all know what he’s trying to say. Babies enjoy imitating their parents, and this endearing interaction demonstrates the father-son bond. They look adorable together. Check out this video to see them!
