Since schools switched to online learning, many parents, particularly those who aren’t particularly tech-savvy, have been perplexed by the difficulties that have arisen. But Isaac Jones, a father from Beaverton, Oregon, appears to be doing well. Delaney Jones, his 6-year-old daughter, was filming herself while crafting one day. Isaac mistook it for another of Delaney’s “tutorials,” not realizing she was videotaping herself for school.

While the camera was rolling, the amusing father began dancing to the Kidz Bop version of “Uptown Funk” in the background! Jennifer Jones, Isaac’s wife, discovered the amusing video. She was checking Delaney’s SeeSaw—the school app—to see what she was up to. According to her, the sweet child would frequently send random clips to her teachers to wish them well, say goodnight, or simply talk to them.

And one of them was a video of Delaney crafting while her father does silly dances in the background! “I was laughing so hard tears were streaming as I continued to watch,” Jennifer told Good Morning America. Isaac went all the way in the video. To the music playing in their kitchen, he demonstrated some of his best dance moves. At one point, he even recruited his other two children to participate in the stunt.

While the trio danced in the background, Delaney continued with her craft tutorial unaffected. Based on her lack of reaction, it appears that this was a common occurrence in their home. Despite the interruptions, the first-grader only paused her work to joke, “What is wrong with this family?” I’m just trying to make art that is peaceful and quiet!” Jennifer decided to post the video on Facebook, where it has received 204K reactions, 230K shares, and a whopping 19M views since November.

“I hope her teacher laughed as hard as I did,” she captioned the post. Seeing how popular the video has become, Isaac expressed his gratitude for the online support he and his family have received. “I got a kick out of seeing so many other dudes tagged by their loved ones who know they’d be dork’n out with their fam too if given the chance,” he wrote in the post. Isaac believes this is what made the video so relatable to so many fathers. He also provided them with parenting advice.

“Guys, take advantage of the opportunities we have to create memories with your amazing children, who are miracles in their own right.” “It’s one of the most rewarding aspects of being a parent,” he said. “Because, unlike in your professional life, when you act like a fool as a parent, those who matter actually admire you even more!” Isn’t that a relief?” Despite the fact that the year 2020 has been difficult, Isaac has chosen to focus on the positive aspects of his life. He encouraged others to follow suit.

“I’m not saying it’s easy or that we always choose happiness, but give yourself the opportunity to choose and seize those moments when they come,” he said.
