The Australia Zoo played a compilation of birthday wishes for Robert Irwin’s birthday celebration. However, the video also included footage of the 19-year-late old’s father, Steve Irwin, discussing the day Robert Irwin was born. And it was such a tender moment! The Crocodile Hunter, a popular Animal Planet show, starred wildlife enthusiast Steve Irwin. And God blessed the man with a kind heart and a natural talent for all kinds of animals.
Steve’s upbeat personality made it easy to overlook the dangers of his job. However, while filming a documentary on dangerous animals in 2006, Steve Irwin died at the age of 44 after a stingray barb pierced his heart. Terri Irwin, Steve’s wife, was left to raise their two children, Bindi and Robert, alone after the tragic accident. And the loving family remained united, fulfilling Steve Irwin’s dying wish to keep the Australia Zoo open.
The Crocodile Hunter died tragically nearly three years after Robert Irwin was born. Nonetheless, Steve’s legacy and passion shine through in his son. And when this incredible young man turned 19, the birthday greetings poured in. His sister, Bindi Irwin, had some kind words for the “greatest brother in the world,” telling him, “I see so much of Dad in everything you do and I know he would be beyond proud of you. “We are all.”

Terri Irwin, Robert’s mother, expressed similar sentiments on Twitter, writing, “I know your dad would be so proud of you.” Of course, the Australia Zoo recognized the young man on social media as well.
