For many of us, finding an envelope filled with cash may seem like a fantastic opportunity. After all, money has no owners, only spenders. While many people would agree with that assessment, the person who discovered this envelope belonging to KOi Fusion food cart owner Bo Kwon did not. They returned it to its proper owner. Kwon, on the other hand, had no idea it was missing. According to Fox 12 Oregon, Cathy Mayes discovered the truth, and her kindness astounded Bo.

Most people would never have returned that money to him. The going is tough, and inflation is crushing us all. Who couldn’t benefit from an extra $700? Mayes, on the other hand, was not about to take the money. The Portland, Oregon native immediately set about ensuring that Bo received it back. Mayes didn’t expect anything in return. She simply wanted to ensure that the man received his money.
She had no idea that Bo had a surprise for her as well. She was taken aback when the man arrived at her door with one of his signature burritos and some flowers. Mayes’ reasoning was straightforward. She desired to return the funds because it was the right thing to do. She also wanted to set a good example. If she ever found herself in a similar situation, she wanted someone to do this for her. This story reminds us that there is still kindness in the world, and we enjoy seeing it.

Kwon adores Cathy and has been praising her ever since he received his money back. “Thank you, Mrs. Mayes, and I hope to see you again. “What a wonderful lady who came into my life to take care of me,” he wrote on Facebook. Bo clearly admires her, and how could he not? During these difficult times, not many people would seek out the rightful owner of an envelope full of cash. Cathy, on the other hand, is not like everyone else. That is why she is deserving of all of Bo’s love and praise.
