A lovely tiny house set in the stunning Queensland forest is a lovely example of how a home can bring together simplicity and luxury. Jess designed her home, filling it with unique ideas ranging from a natural exterior to a clever interior layout to windows that provide the luxury of a panoramic view outside and plenty of natural light. Jess’s lovely home is tucked away in the woods off the main road; most people can’t even find her driveway.
She was moving from Victoria and didn’t know anyone in Queensland, so she posted an ad on Facebook, and a family responded saying they had land. The family drove her there and walked her through. “As soon as I got off the highway and drove out this neck of the woods, I fell in love; I felt at home,” she said. Jess has been chopping down trees outside for the last few months in order to get more sunlight for her solar panels.
She claims that the shaders prevent her solar panels from receiving enough sunlight on some days. In addition to the solar panels, she has a generator for backup power in case her batteries run out of juice. She also has a massive 5,000-liter rainwater tank outside. Meanwhile, Jess chose a monument color for the exterior of her house in order to blend it in with the surroundings and keep it hidden from passersby.
“I really could just lose myself in my tiny in wilderness,” she explained. From the outside, her tiny house is stunning with its clean, modern design, which she worked on for three months. Jess stated that she desired as many windows as possible to allow for natural light. Her house is 4.3 meters tall and is made of an 8.4-meter trailer with a 1.8-meter drawbar.
She said she considered getting a smaller trailer because she felt she had so much space, which is something many people seem to complain about, but she’s fine with it. Because of the maintenance and upkeep, Jess kept her exterior entirely made of metal. She also left the exterior bare because she didn’t know where to park the tiny house during production. She does, however, intend to decorate it with pots, plants, and other cool, beautiful items.
Meanwhile, she has a cool palette deck to assist her in getting up into her tiny house. Underneath the palettes and the tiny house is the wood she chopped, which appears rustic but cool. Jess has created an enchanting home in the middle of a forest that is both beautiful and comfortable, a perfect blend of simplicity and luxury.
