This incredible story begins with a call to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office regarding a vehicle seen in a large lake in Marion County, Texas. When some fishermen noticed the submerged Jeep, they notified the authorities. They had no idea, however, that they would save the life of a missing woman that day.It took about 18 minutes for the deputies to arrive, and the tow truck took a little longer. The vehicle was about 40 feet out in the water from Woody’s Camp Boat Ramp.
When the tow truck arrived and began pulling the Jeep out, they discovered a moving person inside. This was a breathtaking sight to behold. They couldn’t believe the woman was still alive. She was taken to the hospital, where it was discovered she had been reported missing by the Longview Texas Police Department. “We don’t know how long the Jeep was in the water,” said Capt. Chuck Rogers of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
The identity and health of the woman in question are unknown. There are still many unanswered questions for authorities, such as how the Jeep ended up in the water and how long it was there before it was discovered. “There was nothing discovered during the investigation that suggested this case was anything other than an accident,” said Capt. Chuck Rogers. This woman is extremely fortunate to be alive. Her guardian angel was watching over her.
