Meet Bayley, a real-life dog who resembles Snoopy!

It’s extremely rare for all of the good people on the internet to agree on, well, pretty much anything… but we believe we have discovered something! Thanks to the pup’s uncanny resemblance to a certain cartoon canine, the Instagram page for a mini sheepadoodle named Bayley gained hundreds of thousands of new followers in just one week. Say hello to Bayley, the 1-year-old dog who looks exactly like Snoopy!

Be still, our beating hearts! Bayley looks exactly like Charlie Brown’s perennial best friend, with their white fluffy fur, dark black nose, and matching ears. In Charles Schultz’s famous comic strip, Snoopy is a beagle, but it turns out that combining an old English sheepdog with a miniature poodle and creating a mini sheepadoodle is the perfect recipe for cloning his iconic look.

When an Instagram account called Doodle Dogs Club shared a series of photos comparing Bayley to Joe Cool, the internet became aware of this adorable doppelgänger. When Bayley’s humans appeared in the comments to say hello, people flocked to like Bayley’s page as well. Bayley now has over 300,000 followers, with more joining the Peanuts character’s lookalike’s page every day.

Fans of the long-running cartoon know that Snoopy can convey a lot of thoughts and emotions without saying anything. Bayley, coincidentally, does as well! Will the parallels never end? When Snoopy isn’t working on his novel (remember “It was a dark and stormy night?”), he’s dressed up as the Flying Ace and fighting the Red Baron from atop his dog house. He also goes by several aliases, including the aforementioned “big dog on campus,” Joe Cool.

Above all, Snoopy is Charlie Brown’s best friend, the “round-headed kid” who feeds and cares for him. There’s no word yet on whether Bayley has similar hobbies or interests to Snoopy, but we’ll keep you updated! Our only question now that we’ve found the real-life Snoopy is, where is Woodstock? We know he’s somewhere out there, and we can’t wait to meet him. (At long last, something we can all agree on.)
