The world is a big place, and it’s never too late to go on adventures with the people you care about. Our grandmothers have the purest of hearts. They exhibit their affection for us in various ways, and they always make certain that we receive the best treatment whenever we visit them.Joy Ryan, 91, is an Ohio grandmother who has never traveled before.
She informed her grandson, Brad Ryan, that the closest she had been to traveling was when she went fishing with her husband in Okeechobee, Florida.Brad didn’t want her grandmother to miss out on seeing how lovely their country is, so he took her to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which she adored.Brad made plans to visit other locations with Grandma Joy after seeing how much pleasure she had on their brief trip.
Brad investigated the 63 national parks in the United States and decided to focus on the mainland sites that they could visit on their way around the country.Brad and Grandma Joy hiked in deserts and mountains, saw whales, and even went white water rafting together until they arrived at their final destination.Brad selected the American Samoa National Park as their final destination.
“American Samoa is an island community that is very firmly rooted in family,” he remarked. “I think there’s a poetic beauty in ending it there.”After exploring the United States, the two intend to fly to Kenya to experience its splendor, followed by visits to Canadian national parks on future travels. In the video below, Brad explains how he enabled Grandma Joy to travel across the country in just a few years.
