Unfortunately, it has become common for kids to only think about their parents’ money and what they will get from them. They don’t care that their parents have gray hair or that their knees are weak. The woman in this story is no different, and she didn’t realize it until it was almost too late. Emily got a phone call one day telling her that her mother had just died. She was so shocked by the quick death of her mother that she almost passed out when she heard the news.
After the funeral, Emily went back to her old house, where her mother had been living while she worked in a different city. Emily found her late mother’s bank card while she was packing up her mother’s things. She went to the bank later to take the money out of her mother’s account. She didn’t give the PIN number much thought because she thought that her mother probably used her birthday as her PIN.
She was surprised to be wrong. She then thought back to how her mother only cared about her after her father died when she was only four years old. Her mother never married again, so Emily was sure that her mother celebrated her only love, her father, on his birthday. Emily then tried again, but this time she used the date of her late father’s birthday as the PIN. But she tried again and failed!
At that point, Emily was angry and upset because she couldn’t take money out of her mother’s account. Later, she tried again, but this time, the ATM machine ate her card. She had to go back to the bank with a death certificate for her mother in order to get the money. But it turned out that her mother didn’t want anyone, not even her own daughter, to know anything about her.
She must have been told by the bank to get a new bank card. Emily could only get the money that way. This time, Emily gave the PIN a lot of thought. It was clear that it was a mixture that her mother could remember easily. Then, all of a sudden, she thought of something. It was the day of her wedding. The day her mom told her she was the happiest she had ever been.
The day she told her husband over and over to take care of Emily, her only child. Then Emily tried to use the date of her wedding as the PIN. It was a surprise that it was the right PIN! Emily’s tears just wouldn’t stop. She had been busy, and after she moved out and got married, she rarely went back home to see her mother. She even forgot to call her mother on her birthday a few times…
