Kind Students Noticed 80-Yr-Old Janitor Come Out Of Retirement To Pay His Bills. What they Did will melt your hearts!

When a pair of kind students realized that their retired janitor had returned to work at their school in order to cover his higher rent costs, they raised enough money to keep him retired.

Several kids at Callisburg High School in Callisburg, Texas, discovered that Mr. James, their previously retired janitor, had returned to school and was once again emptying the trashcans. Marti Yousko, one of the kids, admired Mr. James and described him as “very shy, very quiet.”

After speaking with Mr. James, they discovered that his rent had suddenly increased by $400 per month, requiring him to return to work at the high school in order to cover his living expenses.

“This is our 80-year-old janitor who had his rent raised and had to return to work,” said student Greyson Thurman in an online post.Marti and Greyson felt sorry for Mr. James after he returned to work at their school.

“No one his age should have to clean up our messes just to live,” Greyson remarked. “It hurt my heart to see him in the hall. Nobody at that age should be working; they should be enjoying their lives, you know? They are entitled to everything.” “It’s just so sad seeing an 80-year-old man having to do things an 80-year-old shouldn’t have to do,” said Banner Tidwell, a Callisburg High School senior.
