Cuff and Link were previously simply two little turtles in a fishbowl, which Rocky Balboa purchased in the film. Who would have guessed that their on-screen lives would become their real ones. We’d say it’s fate. Rocky would always stop by J&M Tropical Fish pet store in the movie to acquire food and other supplies for Cuff and Link. His burgeoning romance with Adrian Pennino (played by Talia Shire), who worked at the business, would begin there.

The turtles became an excuse for him to go to the shop, and the two became friends. They would eventually fall profoundly in love with each other, thanks to Rocky’s two aquatic companions. Cuff and Link returned to the big screen decades later in Creed II, which was released in 2018. During filming, Stallone took a selfie with two of his friends and posted it to Instagram.
