In three years, the old bus was transformed into a fashionable and comfortable home on wheels (Greyhound). Some people inherit their dream home, while others carefully choose and acquire it. However, there are many who are eager to construct their one-of-a-kind home with their own hands. In the latter, a clever American woman bought an ancient bus, furnished it with everything she needed for a comfortable nomadic life, and gave it a charming exterior.
Jessie Lipskin was inspired to transform a vintage bus into a stunning Greyhound RV. This extraordinary story began when a young girl named Jessie Lipskin watched the documentary “Trash Warrior,” in which the main character, inspired by environmental convictions, built a house out of daily trash. After seeing eco-architect Michael Reynolds’ strange presentation in which he constructs boats out of trash and recyclable materials, she had the idea to design an eco-friendly alternative housing.

The interior of the mobile home is entirely made of natural materials. They were also heavily influenced by the concept of minimalism, which says that people do not require as many stuff or as vast homes as they once did. So, after purging everything unnecessary and packing everything into a single suitcase, she went in quest of a suitable vehicle base to build the tiny house on.
Jessie Lipskin sought help from friends and acquaintances. That day, the task of transforming an old bus into a pleasant and elegant small dwelling began. After removing all of the furniture and trim, Jessie began arranging the living area because she wanted to build an eco-friendly house that was as basic as possible: it had everything she needed for four people to live happily together.
She was able to create her dream home, which had a large living room, a functional kitchen, a well-appointed bathroom, and a bedroom. They also planned and built several large storage areas, including a walk-in closet and a mini-library. The girl’s lack of construction or carpentry skills, let alone plumbing, delayed this miraculous transformation. She clearly couldn’t perform part of the work herself, so she enlisted the help of friends, acquaintances, and, in some cases, professionals.

With careful design, sufficient storage space was created. However, as indicated by the photographs, she eventually achieved the desired impact.Only natural wood and reused and salvaged natural materials were used in the interior design.Because the designer of this one-of-a-kind RV is a nature enthusiast, the interior was finished entirely with eco-friendly natural materials.
Recycled materials and wood were used for insulation, coatings, and countless details to conserve resources and provide a comfortable lifestyle with a low environmental impact, and energy-efficient systems and appliances were installed. Jessie made the eco-home on wheels more visually appealing by laying stunning parquet floors and painted the walls white to make the room brighter and more visually appealing.

She also chose not to replace the original bus windows, instead leaving them in place to allow natural light to flood the entire house. Professionals created an LED evening lighting system that offers a mellow light and generates a peaceful and comfortable mood. Paintings decorate the freestanding walls, lending a vibrant accent to the property’s overall architecture. The designers paid close attention to the layout of the utilitarian spaces.

The kitchen includes a natural wood countertop, an oven and stove, an energy-efficient washing machine, a refrigerator with a freezer, a water heater, and a gas tank, to name a few things. Of course, various cabinets and shelves for storing food and culinary items were thoughtfully arranged to allow for unrestricted movement in this area. Because the bus windows are only covered with thick velvet curtains, the bedroom in the back of the bus has a streamlined design and is quite light. The small library in the motorhome is positioned in the bedroom. There’s also a comfortable double bed with an orthopedic mattress and plenty of storage underneath. As an original ornament for the entire room, a small library was made instead of a wall next to the bed.
