One Bowl Fudgy Cocoa Brownies

When I was growing up, my mom always cooked brownies from a packaged mix. The cookies, angel food cake, and bread were all made from scratch, but what about the brownies? Boxed mixture. So I imagined brownies were tough or time-consuming to make on your own. And they can be, but this recipe is just as simple as using a pre-packaged option. It’s a one-bowl brownie made using cocoa powder (no chocolate to melt!) and it also makes a lovely fudgy, wonderful brownie, so it’s my go-to recipe.

There’s no need for packaged mixes anymore! These are quite basic. And I mean very simple. It’s as simple as melting some butter and stirring in your ingredients. There’s brown and white sugar for maximum taste, as well as chocolate chips blended into the batter and sprinkled on top, yet everything comes together in one bowl. And because they only require one bowl to prepare, they are the type of treat that you can whip up at any time.

They take around five minutes to prepare and about 25 minutes to bake, so you can be sinking your teeth into a soft and sweet, warm chocolaty brownie in just thirty minutes. That’s as quick as a mix, yet I believe we can all agree that handmade flavor is unrivaled. So, the next time you have a need for chocolate, there is no need to rush to the store. Because these brownies use ingredients I normally have in my cupboard and only take a few minutes to bake, they’re my favorite quick, easy sweet treat. And I hope they become yours, too!
