It is not unusual for children to have a strong attachment to pets. When children encounter puppies, they are drawn together by their innocence. Some young children, on the other hand, must exert significant effort to return their dearest friend home. This story was about a six-year-old child named Xander Mellor. He had always wanted to have a puppy and had been saving money for the previous 18 months.
Mellor was an intellectual child from Springfield, Illinois. He would always stop his mother, Natalie Ellenburg, after she came from work and beg for the change she had. Then he would put it in his savings jar for his ideal puppy. It was difficult to think that a young boy would forego buying snacks and toys in order to get a small puppy.
However, he was completely ignorant that his wish was going to come true. Mellor’s grandparents had learned about his struggles and planned to surprise him. Mellor was overjoyed to discover his grandparents’ automobile parked outside his home. He cheerfully walked towards it. Soon, his grandmother got out of the car and approached him.
She requested the little kid to close his eyes and extend his arms as a gift. The kind grandmother then gently placed a small puppy in his arms. When Mellor opened his eyes, he was taken aback by the surprise present. The tiny boy couldn’t believe his eyes and had no idea what to say. He stared at his grandmother and parents as he tearfully clutched the small puppy. His expression said it all. This was the finest surprise the tiny kid could have ever gotten.
