“I run a school bus and have a sixth grader I’d like to talk about. Last week, he mentioned an elderly neighbor who hadn’t left her house in weeks. I tried to explain how difficult it would be for her to do things.
I pulled up on Tuesday, and he wasn’t waiting at the stop. I looked over to see him shoveling her porch. I arrived early, so I waited for him. The other youngsters inquired why I was waiting.
I responded that anyone who helps others deserves a few additional minutes. All the kids began questioning him about his neighbor. The next day, 7 youngsters boarded the bus carrying blankets, food, and cards for the elderly woman.

I delivered them after work. Every day, she stands on the porch, and the entire bus waves good morning. I am so proud of him for stepping up and doing the right thing. He taught all of the children something valuable. I grin with pleasure in my heart because I have such great children on my bus.”
