An online user was shocked to find herself at conflict with a coworker. After a coworker suggested she go on a date, things between the two ladies deteriorated. A TikTok user known as Karmell G on social media shared a dating story with an unexpected twist. While she was urged to look for love on the internet, she never imagined she’d have to disagree with a coworker.
Karmell presented her experience across four parts on TikTok in October 2023. She claimed that she joined a dating app years ago after three of her colleagues used it and found fantastic husbands. They suggested she try out the app, and she consented. A few days later, she began emailing a “amazing guy” who appeared sincere. She then provided him her telephone number.
A few days later, Karmell and the man decided to meet in person, so they went to a nearby bar in a safe neighborhood. When they got at the institution, they sat in the bar. The bartender inquired what they wanted, and Karmell’s date responded 10 tequila shots. However, she promptly informed the bartender that she would prefer a soda water with lime instead.
Still, the date insisted on five tequila shots. The bartender supported Karmell, saying that she would not be drinking shots of tequila. At that point, the date began vocalizing his thoughts. He exclaimed loudly, “I’ll get some with her tonight,” and repeated himself. During that time, Karmell decided to leave, and as she grabbed her Louis Vuitton speed bag, he grabbed it as well, attempting to stop her from leaving. During the process, he ripped the handle.
Karmell slapped her date in the face and bolted. The next day, she informed the coworker who advised she try the dating app that it did not work for her and that she would not use it again. However, a coworker attempted to persuade her to continue using it. Karmell remembered her saying, “Oh no, try again.” My dude is fantastic. He just took me on a great date.”
The coworker gave Karmell a picture of the man, and she realized it was the same gentleman who had gone out on a date with her the night before. It turned out that it was the colleague’s husband.Karmell posted a follow-up video in which she completed the story and expressed disbelief at the news. She wanted to inform her coworker, but she needed proof first. Karmell captured screenshots of her interactions with the man, who informed her where he lived, where he came from, and where he worked.
According to Karmell, the man said he worked as a truck driver, was employed by the government, and delivered museum artifacts. To corroborate her assumptions, Karmell asked her coworker where she lived and what her spouse did for a living. The woman informed her exactly what the man had told her about his apartment and employment. Karmell described how she broke the news to her coworker, adding.
“Friend, I’m not sure how to tell you this. And this may seem insane, but I’m very sure the man from last night, that dreadful date, was your spouse.” Karmell informed the woman that the photographs she showed her were of the same man. The coworker assumed she was joking until she assured her she was telling the truth.
Karmell showed his colleague the man’s profile, which contained a phony name. This convinced the woman that it was either a doppelganger or her husband’s twin. Karmell then provided her his phone number, which she confirmed wasn’t her spouse’s. As a last resort, Karmell showed her their chat and explained that it couldn’t be a coincidence that her husband and the man she went out with lived in the same neighborhood and worked the same jobs. She asked the woman where her husband had been the night before, and he said he’d be working.
She contacted him at work and asked, but he was still hooked on his story. He even said he could use GPS logs to verify he wasn’t at the bar.Karmell decided to let it go until another coworker informed her that their colleague thought she was making everything up. Karmell attempted to access the man’s app profile, but it was gone.
She gathered everyone at work and decided to call the number the stranger had given her; he answered. This established that it was him, and the following day, her coworker stated that she and her spouse had discussed the problem.”He just stated he felt awful for you, and it was entirely platonic. He stated you mentioned a recent failed engagement, and he was only trying to be a friend and look out for you,” Karmell remembered her coworker stating.
The woman then stated that she did not marry to get divorced, and that she and her husband would work things out. She also told Karmell not to contact her hubby. Karmell had already requested a transfer at work before to the events that unfolded, and she had two weeks until she went. The pair remained married until the wife discovered that her husband had impregnated another woman, at which point they divorced.
Karmell stated that her primary problem was that she couldn’t establish that the man was in the pub with her, and that if they had taken a picture together, it would have changed her tale. Meanwhile, the wife was fixated on the fact that the man had a different name and phone number on his page rather than focused on the photo, which showed that it was definitely her husband.Karmell’s fans were astonished by the account and swamped the comments area, expressing their surprise at what had happened since the incident.
