The child can begin to combine syllables and say words like “mama,” “papa,” “dada,” and so on.Because of your enthusiastic reaction, they will soon realize that these words have a special meaning. By the age of one, your toddler’s vocabulary may include two or three intentionally spoken words.
However, most toddlers’ speech at this age is fairly incoherent. At this age, Your child understands speech quite well, such as “time to sleep” or “let’s go to the park.”
Throughout the year, the toddler will become more responsive to your directions and demands, and may even begin to compose a few sentences of two or three words.
