Last September, Dave Crosby, a father of two and a gifted vocalist, decided to apply for The Voice. His magnificent voice immediately drew the attention of one of the judges, Adam Levine, “forcing” him to hit the button and turn around. For the majority of the concert, Maroon 5’s lead vocalist sat with an indifferent expression, clearly watching Dave’s performance with no emotion.
However, at the end, he murmured, “Wow,” and the other two judges, Miley Cyrus and Blake Shelton, turned around, interested by his comment. While they pondered Dave’s fate, trying to convince him to choose one of them, Jennifer Hudson
The only judge who didn’t turn around asked Crosby what inspired him to join The Voice. Dave had given up music following the birth of his daughter Claire. However, this is also the reason he returned.
Claire was clearly a gifted vocalist even at the age of four, and their duet “Il y an un ami en moi” became well-known. Hudson inquired whether Claire was close and requested that she be brought on stage to sing a song. Watch the video below to see what happens next!
