On a hot summer day, a young kid and his mother were in a lake cottage. Little boy decided to take a swim in the lake behind his house. Boy was so anxious to go into the lake and swim in the refreshing water that he simply raced out. Boy went into the water and swam far without realizing he had swan right into the center of the lake.
Boy’s mother peeked out the window and saw an alligator approaching his son. As she noticed them moving closer together, she dashed toward the small kid and cried as loudly as she could. She yelled about an alligator approaching him and told him to swim back toward the house. Hearing his mother’s voice, the youngster became worried and did a U-turn to swim towards her, but it was too late. Just as the mother reached out and grabbed her son’s arm, an alligator took his legs.
That started a tug-of-war between the two. The alligator was too strong, but the mother was too determined to let her son go. At the same moment, a farmer happened to pass by and overheard the scream of a young kid and his mother. Farmer sprinted toward the water, took aim at the alligator, and shot him. Remarkable, after being treated in the hospital for weeks, the boy survived.
Following the incident, a newspaper reporter arrived to interview the youngster and asked him about it. The boy lowered his jeans from his severely damaged legs as a result of the animal’s savage attack. But, with pride, he told reporters, “Check out my arms. I also have big scars on my arms. “Why are these scars so great?” inquired a newspaper reporter.
Boy responded by saying, “I have these scars on arm because my mom wouldn’t let go..” Moral of the Story: Similarly, we all bear scars from our tragic pasts. Sometimes we get ourselves into difficult situations and forget that the enemy is waiting. That is when the tug-of-war between Life and you begins. That explains why we have some wounds.
