When looking for a new house, most people have a long list of prerequisites. Some people want a certain amount of bedrooms, while others want a large yard or a garage. While individual preferences may vary, there are certain characteristics that none of us would want in a new home.Amber Hall thought she had found her ideal first home when she walked inside a four-bedroom, two-bathroom property for sale in Centennial, Colorado.
She imagined her family, including her two children and two dogs, enjoying the backyard and savoring the environment. She had little idea of the property’s previous occupants, who were extremely slithery. Amber was excited to make the house her own now that the formal purchase had been completed. However, as she began unpacking, her dog’s unusual behavior drew her notice, raising red flags in her thoughts.
She stated, “I was in the middle of unpacking when my dog just froze and started staring at something very slowly moving,” as reported by KOAA. “I walked over to see what had piqued his interest, thinking it was a spider or something. But when I arrived, I discovered two little holes and snakes slithering up the wall. I was quite freaked.”
Yes, you read that correctly: snakes in the walls. According to reports, these large snakes were tucked in the wall next to the door that connects the garage to the backyard. To her dismay, Amber discovered that the warmth flowing from the wall indicated at even more animals further up. She called the snakes “astonishingly big.”
Following much research, it has been determined that these are a type of garter snake. However, they do state that garter snakes are not generally this enormous. Amber stated that she is unable to unpack her belongings due to fear of snakes in the parcels or boxes. It’s similar to jumping into bed and rapidly pulling the sheets off or leaping out of bed to ensure there’s no one underneath.”
Amber encountered the first snake around a week ago, and she has since come across a total of ten snakes. In order to humanely remove the snakes from her home, the concerned mother hired a snake wrangler. Based on their size, he advised Amber that some of these snakes could have been living in the residence for up to two years.
“I don’t feel like I’m the first person to find them,” Amber said. “But I can’t imagine anyone admitting they knew about them.” She added, “It’s difficult. I am 42 years old, and this is my first home. I’ve worked my entire life to get here, and I can’t even appreciate it. My children will adore it, but I’m afraid.” Amber has already paid nearly $1,000 to expel these unwanted guests from her house.
She expressed her suspicion that she will not completely feel safe until every inch of the house is stripped down to reveal where these monsters have taken up residence. I can’t imagine coping with this issue; it’s definitely a homeowner’s nightmare. Let’s hope Amber and her children may find some solace in this snake-infested ordeal.
