This is a true heartbreaker. There are a million and one reasons why someone would audition for one of the numerous talent programs. Sure, they all want to show that they have what it takes to win, but each competitor has a unique incentive or support system that encourages them to go the additional mile and truly put themselves out there.

Some see it as a parent, others as their own self-esteem, and yet others as a child. Joseph Whelan, a 26-year-old tool salesman, has been playing in bands for years. He is also the father of a lovely four-year-old boy. Joseph adores his son and strives to be the best role model he can be for him, as well as to ensure that he grows into a happy and well-rounded young man.

However, Joseph no longer lives with him because he and his son’s mother have split up. It completely tears his heart.His X Factor audition is his chance to show his son that he can be whatever he wants to be if he works hard for it! Despite his powerful build and tattoos, he was nervous as he came onto the stage. When it came to cheering him on, the females in the audience couldn’t stop themselves.

When he begins to sing, the judges were completely unprepared for the sound that came out of his mouth. It’s a rock-and-roll voice, raspy and forceful! This was quite a shock given his previous nice and slightly timid demeanor! There wasn’t a single person in the audience who didn’t completely love this performance. However, I believe the biggest fan remained backstage the entire time.

But get ready, because the most precious moment comes after the song is over, when his son runs out on stage to tell his father what a great job he did! Joseph takes him up into his arms, and the hefty man begins to cry.He’s out here attempting to improve his family’s lives. Later this season, Joseph bursts into tears when the judges announce their verdict on his performance of Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls. We could listen to this sexy father’s voice all day!
