The perfect age to get married is

I’m 25, single, and planning to marry one day. But I’m not sure when I’ll stroll down the aisle. But, according to mathematical theory, I must get the show on the road. Journalist Brian Christian and cognitive scientist Tom Griffiths, co-authors of “Algorithms to Live By: The Computer Science of Human Decisions,” feel that applying the “37% Rule” will help you make appropriate decisions on whether to start settling down.

Essentially, the rule indicates that when you’re under a time pressure and need to make a decision quickly, it’s ideal to make the final selection after considering 37% of your possibilities. The 37 percent mark provides you with a sufficient amount of information, so whatever decision you make will not be wholly uneducated, but you will not waste too much time.

Now, if you’re looking for true love between the ages of 18 and 40, take 37% of that 22-year difference, crunch some figures, and you’ll be able to find a nice mate at the age of 26. If you settle before that age, you will miss out on some of the most respectable ladies and gentlemen out there. However, if you wait until after that age, the best ones are usually gone. Using “The Secretary Problem,” a 1960 experiment simplified understanding of the 37% Rule.

Assume you require a secretary and have only one opportunity to interview each candidate separately. How many individuals should you talk to before deciding who is best for the job? If you’re interviewing three secretaries, you should make your decision after secretary number two. If the second option appears to be far superior to the secretary’s, act swiftly.

But if they turn out to be a dud, wait out and continue interviewing. Using “The Secretary Problem,” a 1960 experiment simplified understanding of the 37% Rule. I mean, our general dating preferences alter dramatically from day to day, so who knows what may happen.

According to the 37% Rule, by the age of 26, you are grown enough to make decisions that are not affected by outside parties and will remain fairly true to your beliefs. And at that time in your life, it’s all about taking some risks. How will you locate Mr./Mrs. Right rather than Mr./Mrs. Right Now?
