In an interview with Today, Camilla Tominey, assistant editor of The Telegraph, claimed that the queen “has been trying to help [Catherine] through the media storm aspect of all of this.”Tominey went on to say, “I think before [Catherine] announced because she was having to cope with the fallout of everything that was said about the Mother’s Day photo and everything else, I think Camilla lent some support.”

“Because, let’s be honest, [Camilla] understands what it’s like to face a hostile press. “She understands what it’s like to guide children through a media storm,” she continued. In February, Prince William made some brief remarks about his wife’s health status. Nonetheless, when asked about Kate and King Charles in public, members of the royal family have remained quiet.

However, just a few days ago, Queen Camilla finally commented about Kate.As King Charles postponed several royal duties due to cancer treatments, Camilla stepped in and took on the role herself. Camilla spoke about Kate for the first time since the cancer diagnosis news, when two little girls sent the queen a sign.It stated, “Send our love to Kate,” and was adorned with hearts, stars, and other adorable graphics. Queen Camilla, of course, remained when she saw the placard. Rebecca English, a royal specialist, told the young girls, “I know that Catherine is thrilled by all the kind wishes and support.”
