A man is dealing with his cheating wife, who rationalized her adultery at a vulnerable time when she wanted to “see if she still had it.” The woman, who revealed to her husband that the much younger man’s attention fueled her ego, begs forgiveness, but the unforgiving man claims she blew “up our entire lives over wrinkles making her sad.”A man is dealing with his cheating wife, who rationalized her adultery at a vulnerable time when she wanted to “see if she still had it.”
The woman, who revealed to her husband that the much younger man’s attention fueled her ego, begs forgiveness, but the unforgiving man claims she blew “up our entire lives over wrinkles making her sad. Continue reading to find out why this husband is asking the Reddit community if he’s wrong in wanting a divorce. In late February, a man in desperate need of guidance posted his story on the ‘Am I Wrong’ subreddit, explaining an unfortunate situation with his cheating wife.
The 39-year-old man shared some background information with the Reddit community, stating that he has been married to his 33-year-old wife for ten of their 14 years together. The couple has a seven-year-old kid together. He tells that his wife went with her sister and a few other girls on a weekend vacation to an adult-only party at a resort that featured a lot of alcohol.”I wasn’t concerned at all.
“I’ve never had a reason to distrust her, and she’s never done anything to cause me concern,” writes the original poster (OP). After the girls’ first night away, the author describes how his wife called him in the morning, crying and confused. “After I calmed her down, she told me she had slept with someone else the night before. According to the spouse, she met a guy who SHE approached, they flirted a little and danced together, and she assumed that was the end of it.
“But he supposedly just charmed her into a kiss, which turned to making out, which turned to her asking him to walk her back to her hotel, which turned into them having s!x.”This occurred several times, he claims, explaining that her shame caused her to stop but was insufficient to prevent her from restarting, five times in total.”She says she kept thinking ‘it was wrong’ but then would think ‘it’s too late now anyway, so might as well carry on’ and basically go through a loop of that,”
the OP adds, adding that she also told the “handsome man,” who was roughly 10 years younger, that she was divorced. The OP states, “She says she doesn’t know what came over her, and she just wanted to “check whether she still had it” but got carried away.”He goes on to say, “It drove her ego crazy, and that was when she decided to kiss him.”
Looking for answers and giving his wife adequate space to express herself, the man asked why she needed to show to herself that “she still had it.” “She says she’s been self-conscious about her age since she turned 30. That when she sees a new wrinkle or whatever, it brings her to tears. She added that talking to the guy made her feel youthful again, and she clung to it.”
In addition to betraying her husband and fooling the stranger about her marital status, the woman lied to her sister, with whom she shared a room. Claiming to require sleep, her sister spent the night in another room with the girls, inadvertently allowing the wife to bring the stranger back into her bed. “They had no idea she had gone home with him.
They spotted them conversing but didn’t think anything of it,” he says, adding that her sister, who is upset over what she done, has called him since learning the wife had been kicked out of the house. But, overcome by the grief of her betrayal, he exclaims, “I just want them all to leave me alone.”He writes: “I want to leave her. She begs me not to, offers marriage counseling, never going out, never drinking again, and so on.
But he’s still not sure what he’ll do. “She’s staying at her mother’s place while I figure out what I want to do. She begged me not to make her leave, but I told her that was the least she could do after destroying our entire lives over wrinkles that made her unhappy.”
