The pandemic has changed our lives in numerous ways. Many of us consider it a terrible occurrence, but for one man and his parrot, it was very beautiful. Many of us found ourselves stranded at home, unsure what to do with our time. That was also true for Frank Maglio Jr. and his wife Gina.

Frank enjoyed playing guitar but did not always have time to do so. The pandemic allowed him to take up the guitar and start playing, which led him to uncover his parrot’s secret gift.They have an Amazon parrot named Tico, whom they adopted from an elderly British woman. They enjoyed having a parrot, and they were especially happy to learn how much the bird appreciated hearing the guitar.

One day, Frank was playing the guitar and Tico decided to sing along. It all started with the song “Stairway to Heaven,” which Gina began recording as soon as Tico started singing. They decided to upload a video on Facebook and then YouTube. A new YouTube channel has been started. Frank frequently posts videos of himself playing a duet with his pet parrot, to which more than 250,000 people subscribe.

He uploads videos to both YouTube and Facebook. People appreciate hearing him play the guitar, but they particularly enjoy Tico and his ability to sing along. The comments show how much individuals value not simply hearing the birds sing, but also the distraction it offers. This was something we all needed during the pandemic, and it is much more important now.
