In what could be described as a fortunate coincidence, Bella recently drew the attention of Guinness World Record officials.Why do you ask? Bella’s purr isn’t just any purr; it could be the loudest purr ever heard from a domestic cat. And, yes, there is a video footage of this great moment! In Bella’s universe, every day is a symphony, especially during mealtimes.

While most cats meow for food, Bella emphasizes her excitement with loud purrs. Dave Wilson, a Guinness World Records official, paid a recent visit to the cat mom and her pet cat. What is the goal? To record the captivating sound of Bella’s purr and see whether she could beat the world record.

Nicole recalls affectionately, “Bella, being the diva she is, has always had this extremely loud purr. We frequently find ourselves turning up the TV volume since Bella’s purring drowns out everything else!” Furthermore, Bella’s enthusiasm for her favorite cat food, Whiskers, is unparalleled. When you place a bowl in front of her, her purrs will become louder.

The day of the record attempt is electrifying. Dave and his colleagues painstakingly organized the room. The curtains were pulled, the room was soundproofed, and a class 1 meter was strategically positioned to record Bella’s purr. As Nicole hands Bella a handful of Whiskers, the room fills with Bella’s excited purrs.To say Bella destroyed the record is an understatement. While the minimum purr was 50 DB, Bella, in her glorious magnificence, registered a huge 54.6 DB. That’s right, Bella did more than just set the record; she also owned it. Nicole could not be more proud.
