Princess Diana was unique, but so is everyone else; no one can be you, and you cannot be anybody else. However, it is natural that Diana’s sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, hold her in high regard. She was the “people’s princess” for crying out loud! However, when Meghan Markle was likened to Diana on her and Harry’s trip to Nigeria, William’s purported reaction was somewhat surprising.

So, here’s the thing: he purportedly dislikes Meghan’s comparison to Diana, but he also dislikes his wife, Kate Middleton, being compared to Diana.Insiders told Closer via MSN that “William does not want to deprive Harry of the right to celebrate their mother’s legacy.” What worries him is how Meghan is being portrayed as the modern-day Diana; he finds it beyond disgusting and hurtful, not only to him but also to Kate” (which may seem weird in retrospect, given that sources indicate he does not want Kate to be linked to Diana?!)”

As far as William is concerned, his mother was one-of-a-kind; comparing Kate to her would be ludicrous. And he believes it’s as ludicrous to compare Meghan to her,” they added. “She will always be on a pedestal in William’s eyes; it’s no surprise he’s offended by the concept of Meghan being compared to a modern-day Diana. Diana didn’t seek attention; she was so humble and bashful that she didn’t require fanfare or validation.

While there is only one Diana, there is only one Kate and Meghan, which is great. Fans have been astonished to learn that he apparently dislikes it when people do it with Kate; yet, both Kate and Meghan know how to commemorate their late mother-in-law.
