It appears to be an undeniable fact that the age at which a person gets ‘aged’ increases every few years. I mean, how can we define “old” in the first place? Is it based on how someone acts or behaves? Perhaps it’s their physical condition? Perhaps the way they dress and create their external appearance? When I was younger, my grandma was indisputably ‘old’ because she was in her early 60s. What do I mean by this?
To begin with, she dressed like a storybook grandmother. Her hair was grey, she moaned about almost everything in the world, and she walked with a cane (which I’m still not sure she required). Today, 25 years later, you look at a group of 60-something-year-olds and tell me if they fit the description above. In fact, I’ll spare you the trouble: they won’t.
This brings me back to my first argument regarding what was once deemed ‘old age’ no longer being so. Linda Purl, 68, showed off her toned legs in an Instagram image. and received a lot of acclaim in the process. Linda, the star of Happy Days, and actor Patrick Duffy had been together since the COVID-19 pandemic, when they found themselves FaceTiming each other every week after becoming friends a few years ago.
Fast forward four years later, and the pair is still very much in love. The couple reportedly does everything together, including exercising and cooking. Duffy regarded them as “very compatible”. “In the kitchen, the way we cook, the way we clean, the way we function together as individuals,” he continued. Duffy and Purl went on a romantic trip abroad earlier this year, and the latter stole the show on social media by posting photos of herself enjoying a day at the beach.
Linda can be seen standing on a rock, facing the water, her hands in the air in one of these images.”You look great, Linda!” one person wrote. Someone another said, “I have always thought of her as being the most beautiful person I have ever seen.” A third added, “Great legs, period.” No one looking at you would care about your age; you are simply a lovely woman!”
“Go Linda!” “You look great; I’ve always thought you were the prettiest actress,” wrote a fourth. Duffy and Purl had been working in Hollywood for decades, building lucrative careers and high-profile businesses before meeting.Duffy had a long and successful marriage with Carolyn Rosser, whereas Purl was married to four different people before fate took her to Patrick’s door.
Purl was married four times: to Desi Arnaz Jr. (1980–1981), William Broyles Jr. (1988–1992), Alexander Cary (1993–1999), and James Vinson Adams (2006–2011), however she only had one kid and had apparently not contemplated dating again after her divorce with Vinson Adams. Patrick Duffy, meantime, had been happily married to Carolyn Rosser for 43 years.
Unfortunately, Rosser died at the age of 77 in 2017; the couple had two sons.Duffy still considered himself a “married man” after his wife died, and it took a long period before he felt remotely ready to explore meeting other women again. I don’t know about you, but I think Patrick Duffy and Linda Purl would make an amazing couple. Linda looks great at 68!
